Black Eyed Susan is very easy to grow and will even thrive in sites that are unfavourable to many others. It is a biennial plant meaning it has a 2 year life span, blooming in its second year. Not to fret on losing this pioneer species from your garden though; it is a prolific seeder that is loved by birds and pollinators alike and will keep giving you new plants to enjoy or share.

Black Eyed Susan has a wonderfully long bloom giving you copious amounts of cheery yellow flowers to give you a great show late into the season, especially making it high value to our pollinators who are left with few other options. It also makes a wonderful cut flower to enjoy in bouquets.
