Fragaria vesca

Woodland Strawberry is quite similar to Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana) with the key differences being its mature size reaches up to 10” tall, has distinctly toothed leaves, and it enjoys more shade and more moisture in the soil. Similarities continue with similar white flowers in spring followed by small flavourful berries in early summer.

Woodland Strawberry makes for a great groundcover for shadier woodland sites.
