Hypericum prolificum

Shrubby St. John’s Wort is a top-choice shrub for many home gardens due to its hardy nature. This shrub is resistant to deer and rabbit munching and tolerates a wide range of sun, soil and moisture conditions. Shrubby St. John’s Wort also only grows to about 4’ in height and tolerates pruning (best done in early spring), but it does like to keep a tidy mound shape, so pruning is not really necessary.

Flowering yellow gems all over in late summer through early fall this shrub provides late season interest and is loved by many pollinators including bumblebees, syrphid flies, butterflies and moths.
