Physocarpus opulifolius

Prairie Ninebark grows up to 8’ - 10’, and often as wide, thought it can take well to pruning if a smaller size is desired. Tall arching branches create a dense cover for birds to nest. In summer, clusters of white flowers will cover the shrub attracting many pollinators such as moths, bees, butterflies and beetles. Pink/red seed capsules and yellow foliage follow in the fall allowing for a second season of interest.
