Morning Star Sedge makes a wonderful ornamental sedge for almost any garden setting as it tolerates full sun to part shade with wet to average soil. It has a clump forming habit and will spread slowly to form colonies. Mid-summer Morning Star Sedge will produce decorative seed heads resembling a star or mace and make lovely additions to floral arrangements. Seeds provide a valuable food source for many birds and mammals.
