Antennaria neglecta

Velvety silver-blue leave are a distinguishing quality of Field Pussytoes that make them an attractive groundcover in sunny dry areas. They take well to mowing and medium foot traffic and are salt tolerant.

Late spring brings white flowers that grow close to 12” above the leave and resemble tiny cats feet, hence the name. Field Pussytoes serves as a host plant for the American Painted Lady Butterfly.

Field Pussytoes have historically been used for coughs, colds, bruises, as a post childbirth tonic for mothers.
