Dutchman's Breeches

from $8.50

Dicentra cucullaria

Dutchman’s Breeches is one of my favourite woodland spring ephemerals. One of the first flowers to bloom in the spring, it is an essential nectar source for emerging and queen bumblebees.

White “V” shapes flowers hang in little clusters up above feather like blue-green foliage. After blooms fade and the flowers turn to see, leaves turn yellow by early summer then fully die off and go dormant during the warm summer months.
