Button Blazing Star (also called Rough Blazing Star) attracts a wide variety of pollinators including various butterflies, skippers, bumblebees and small bees (such as leaf-cutter bees, miner bees and carpenter bees).

This Liatris species has flowers similar to is relative, the Dense Blazing Star, but its flowers are formed in ‘buttons’ that zig-zag up the stem and stays to a shorter height of 3’ making it a lovely option for an mid-range plant in your prairie garden.
