Blue Cohosh

from $0.00

Caulophyllum thalictroides

Blue Cohosh is among the first plants to emerge in the spring. Blue/purple stalks shoot up above the leaf litter creating a unique colour contrast to the brown and green of its surroundings. As leaves open they tend to hold the blue/purple hue until warmer temperatures are consistent.

Greenish yellow flowers open to feed spring pollinators and are followed by blue berries to feed birds and other wildlife. These berries are poisonous to humans and should not be consumed.
